Acadia National Park, Maine, USA
A day in Acadia National Park.
We headed from our home in mid coast Maine to go up to Acadia National Park. It was about a 2 hour drive from where we are staying. the day was Beautiful, not too hot or windy.
Because I just got a new mountain bike we wanted to bike around Acadia. so we drove to the Hulls Cove Visitor Center. The visitors center was closed to the public due to COVID and it being off season (off season is till May 15, every year).
Update: I called the Hulls Cove Visitors Center this week and it is now open for the season and also sells day, 1-week, and season passes as well as the Yearly National Parks Pass for the entire USA.
Directly on the right side of the Hulls Cove parking lot there is the trailhead to the Carriage Road Trails. We biked a total of 20.5 miles through Hulls Cove Visitors Center Connector, Paradise Hill, Witch Hole Pond, Eagle Lake, Aunt Betty Pond, Around Mountain, Seven Bridges, and back that loop with around 1,400 feet of total elevation gain, so not bad at all!

The trail was pretty easy to bike around because it was soft gravel and the paths were clearly marked, we ended where we started and sat at the parking lot and had a small lunch that we packed.
We went to a campsite but unfortunately it was just a gravel road, and it was not possible to comfortably set up a roof top tent to camp that night so we decided to go back to our cottage tonight.
If your looking to explore Acadia National Park faster than just hiking and running, we recommend that you bike around the Carriage Roads! We will be going to Acadia later this month again to explore other trails by foot as well.
